How many days do you need for your trip to Thailand?
The ideal time to visit Thailand will depend on the destinations and activities you want to include. With first-time visitors, a 7-day trip includes Bangkok and one of the southern islands or a getaway to Chiang Mai is a perfect start.
Bangkok: The vibrant capital is an ideal starting point. Here you can visit the Grand Palace, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha and enjoy its famous nightlife. We recommend two or three days to immerse yourself in its culture and dynamism.
Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai: In the north of the country, these cities are the cultural heart of Thailand, famous for their temples, markets, and mountainous landscapes. Here you can visit the iconic White Temple (Wat Rong Khun) and take part in an ethically responsible elephant experience.
Beaches and islands: The beaches of Phuket, Krabi, Koh Phi Phi, and the quieter islands of Koh Samui and Koh Tao are ideal for relaxing or water activities such as diving and snorkeling. For a balanced trip, we recommend spending at least three or four nights on one of these islands.
